Building Challenge

Building Challenge

I don’t know if you remember this or not, but it rained a lot this winter.  It rained a lot last winter too. Here at my house, we have a wall next to our house which holds the dirt back from our basement door.  All of the rain has meant that this wall is starting to move and breakWe are having someone come to our house soon and fix it.  They are going to dig behind the wall, move the blocks that are there now, and build the wall again.  This got me thinking about you guys! I know some of you are excellent builders, but I am wondering if you can build at home as well as you build at school.  Find something you can use to build and build a word. Choose a word that tells what you love about Foothills. You can use anything from sticks, blocks, leaves, flowers (ask before you pick flowers), toys, food, or anything else that you can find (remember to ask if it is okay before you start building with something).  If it stands up by itself, that is even better! You can send me a picture at my email address jodie.lombardo@maryville-schools.org, send it through this link, or on instagram at @lombardolabs.  I cannot wait to see what you guys build.

Signs of Spring

During our time out of school, I cannot help but notice that we are into a new season.  Spring is here!  There are signs of Spring all around us.  I suggest that you find a pretty day to get outside and find some signs of Spring.  Here is a scavenger hunt to give you ideas of what to look for:
